How to use these calculators

Each calculator works out the answer in your browser as you type. Nothing you enter is sent to us or saved.

They use the 2026/27 tax rates for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and we update them after each Budget and every April. Under each calculator you'll find how it works, the rates it uses and the questions people usually ask next.

When to talk to us instead

A calculator can't see the whole picture. Pensions, a spouse as a shareholder, timing across two tax years, other income or an IR35 review can all change the answer.

If the result surprises you, or the numbers are big enough to matter, book a free 30-minute consultation and we'll go through it with you.

They're estimates, though, and your own position may have details they don't cover, such as pension contributions, student loans or other income. Speak to us before acting on them.

Not yet. Scottish income tax bands are different, so if you live in Scotland the income tax figures will be off. Corporation tax, National Insurance and dividend tax are the same across the UK.

After every Budget and at the start of each tax year on 6 April. The tax year the calculators use is shown on each page.
